Mad Mike/Scalper A side// The Trinity/Burning Spear B side, 7” UR

Scalper is a great track…full of the kind of banging, squiggling, shaking and funky minimal kind of workout with acid galore twisting Techno that you crave. The B side, Burning Spear is good, more of a tribally percussive with flabby acid lines and a nice orchestral bit at the end.
DJ Dex – Madrugada/Blight – 7” UR

2 here produced by DJ Dex aka Nomadico, both Rock!
Madrugada on the A, is a Wow :) Funky as hell, but a bit unsettling too….”ahhh”s are here, along with lots of awesome backround sounds with a deep Techno feel. Blight on the B is a harsh minimal industrial Techno thing with lots of rub ‘n scrape acid lines. This gets Mental for a bit, then, ahhh, back to your regular programming. Orgasmic for the brain.
History on the A starts off with a radio station dial mix-up tuning thing that gets taken over by bangin big bold beautiful Techno :D love it.
Rebel Rocker on the B, is another BIG cut. Filled with rolling and building rocking beats with some very cool reps of guitar pluckings. yeah.
ADK - MADE IN GERMANY - LIFEFORM RECORDINGS

This record looks (she’s some frightful lookin…)a lot scarier than it actually is. Hard Techno, 2 cuts. First on, the A, ‘I`M HERE WHEN YOU ARE GONE’ is deep, dark, hard and huge with raw edges and a fantastic chasing percussion keeping a forward momentum. Very funky with lots of changes and cool edits … weird voices at the break say, “concentration…fascination”
On the B, ‘I LIKE TO FUCK MY 303 ALL NIGHT’ is hard and dark paranoid techno that delves deep and rises hypnotically as it winds and shakes with acid and cantering percussion. Develops a very funky feel!
JEREMY CAULFIELD - SCAR CITY - DUMB UNIT

Here’s a good bio of this guy- http://www.starliteroom.ca/calendar/shows_details.php?id=336
Look beyond the label and just listen…this is really groovy stuff! Techno roots, Minimal & IDMesque influences, with a sense of humor and funkiness. ‘FLIPPER KICKER’ on the A side is a quirky, poppity experimentally leaning track with some deep rhythms and starry moves along a watery pathway…neat :-|/’ ‘ WRECKROOM’ on the B similarly takes the poppity quirk pathway but gets the energy rising as it grinds it way thru with its bigger, darker self.
Wild ‘n crazy pretty much sums it up for the A side’s ‘WAPPI (THE HORRORIST S BOOGIEMAN REMIX)” Weird voices at the intro, then the most insane, tripped out version! On the flip is ‘WAPPI (ORIGINAL AMSTERDAMAGED MIX)’ This is Raw, in your face Techno. So massive, hypnotic, involving, danceable hard track with fantastic drumwork, damn!
DJ SHIVA vs. ADAM JAY – FINALITY EP _ INTERNAL ERROR RECORDINGS

The originals by DJ Shiva are on the label side – both are hard but maintain that funky edge she is known for. “Borderline Shift” is a awesome huge heavy stomper with ‘the right sound’…forward moving, stopping, starting, changing directions, involving, turning and twisting as you race along this maze. “the Last Word” is a massive hard Wow track with a cool mildly threatening vox sample. The Info side are remixes by Adam Jay who takes them both into harder, darker territory. First, “Borderline Shift” does the bizzness. If the original doesn’t have enough twists ‘n turns for you, then try this! Put it in your portable music player of choice then go for the perfect accompaniment, a ride on “Space Mountain” at Disneyworld! ”the Last Word” is a good alternative to the original when the mood darkens, and the vibe gets more intense.

JESSE SOMFAY - NECTAR OF MY LOVE – TRAUM

Some deep techno here that’s very emotional. On the A side is ‘Asinea Nectar,’ a very very nice deep and melodic slightly IDM’y Techno with cool Electro influences. On the B there’s 2, first up is ‘In the Open at Night’, a very cool, sparse, funky, quirky and spacey very electronic sounding jam that’s really neat. ‘One Pink Dime takes Me Away’ is the gem here….awesome deep, spacey, trippy Techno that’s smooth and sexy, a bit different with a touch of space disco.

VARIOUS ARTIST - PRODRIVE REMIXES EP - MASTER TRAXX

OWWW!!!!!! You need the hard stuff, well this one really delivers with 4 killer remixes of Mike Humphries ‘Prodrive’. Ok, on the A side, Ben Long serves up a painful cut. Lashings & massive 4x4’s hit and fling and tumble. Nice ravey feelings are mixed within and gets this one really involving, powerful! Then Vincent De Wit & Bas Mooy reallllly turn up the massive button for this HUGE powerful hard morphing relentless techno take that need a bigbig system to be fully realized! On the B side, first Glenn Wilson keeps his special brand of punishment intact with a touch of the funkyness. This one gathers its layers in turn forming a thick cloud of sound and emotion to carry you on. Last up is Mike Wade from Audio Assault, who takes it really funky with rolling hollow sticks, bounding drums and straight forward percussion with hints of Disco!
